Is it worth upgrading to tiger on a ibook g4 1.33 with 512 ram from panther? what would be the drawbacks

$129 poorer...actually people here seem to like it...the dashboard seems to be the hit favorite.
Microdot is sure to give you some positive feedback why you should but that's all i know I don't use it.

tiger runs a bit quicker than panther... the added features (dashboard, spotlight, automater - my favorite, and more)... you wont see the main benefit (64 bit) from it however.
its all a crap shoot. i moved to it, and love it... if for nothing else, spotlight and automater. automater was worth it alone in my eyes.

i have a 1.25 G4 and noticed quite a speed increase, not to mention Safari RSS is the fastest browser i've ever used. I also like dashboard and spotlight a lot. I've played with automator, but i'm too dumb to get anything working....
also, go to the education store on the website, put in a college near you and get it for $70, that half off

i just use it for simple stuff right now....just a few finder plugins
batch rename files
archive folder as zip and move to external drive
move widget to widget folder
i've been trying to figure out a downThemAll type workflow like i have in firefox to grab links......actually what i want is for it to grab links from thumbnailed images, go to that page and download the image......i can't get it to work though
